Does Deimos host my videos?
No. You run the player. Files stay on your disk or your own S3-compatible bucket.
How do I pay?
PayPal. After checkout you get a Pro key on the thanks page. Paste it under License.
What does Pro cost?
$7/month, $49/year, or $129 lifetime. See pricing.
Is Deimos a Plex alternative?
It is a self-hosted on-demand player for Windows and Mac. You keep the files. It is not a cloud Plex replacement.
Can I use my own S3?
Yes on Pro. AWS, Wasabi, Backblaze B2, Cloudflare R2, MinIO, Storj, Filebase.
Does it play IPTV?
Yes. Paste an M3U or M3U8. Free one playlist (250 channels). Pro unlimited.
How are uploads encoded?
720p H.264 + AAC MP4, a poster, and HLS. NVIDIA GPUs use NVENC when ffmpeg supports it; otherwise CPU libx264. Needs ffmpeg on the machine.
Do you sell source code?
No. Windows and Mac binaries only. Cinema and web stay on Deimos.
Windows SmartScreen / Mac Gatekeeper?
The app is unsigned. Windows: More info → Run anyway. Mac: right-click Open, or remove quarantine with xattr.
